Try Progress Report

The Chrome Web Store listing is pending. The current preview can be installed manually in a compatible Chromium browser if your institution permits it. Read the known report limitations before using it.

Manual installation: Chrome, Edge or Brave

Download the extension zip and extract it to a folder you can keep. These browser variants still need broader compatibility testing.
Open your browser's extensions page (for example, chrome://extensions in Chrome) and enable Developer mode if your policy allows it.
Choose Load unpacked and select the extracted folder.
Open a Canvas course, find Lamplighter in the toolbar/extensions menu, click it and grant access to your Canvas site.
Open Progress Report in course navigation. The trial starts on the first licence check, normally this first report request; it does not wait for a successful result.

If your browser blocks installation, ask your institution about approval. No Canvas API token or Canvas administrator account is required, but browser policy still applies.

Permissions and local state

The extension requests site access when you activate it. It uses storage for licensing, settings and local activity identifiers, and adds a course navigation item after permission. On later course pages it can refresh a local quiet-activity badge without opening the report. Data handling and current limits.

Other browsers and support

Firefox support is planned and needs a separate manifest and verification. Safari is outside the current scope. If the preview fails, read the help page or contact support. Do not send screenshots containing real student records.
